This will be an exciting month not only with our wine tasting but I’m looking forward to some new wines that should be showing up during the month. We’ll have Easter quite soon and I’ll be glad to show you some nice wines for your meal or to bring as a hostess gift.

I hope you were able to attend one of our events in February. Anytime you can taste eight Red Zinfandels it has to be a great month. Check out our calendar below for some special upcoming events.

 Looking at our March Calendar of events, this will be an exciting time of the year! I will have plenty of beer & whiskey specials to help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! And for you basketball fans, “March Madness” brings some much needed refreshments while watching the games! We have the dips, spreads and crackers for your gathering.

Sorry for anyone that likes the cold and snow (I’m not one of them) but I’m glad January is behind us! I was extremely pleased with the turnout for our January tastings and with the comments I received, locating new wines made the tasting unique for everyone in attendance. Looking at February events this will be another exciting month. With Valentine’s just days away, stop in and look over our fine selection of dessert wines and champagne for that special day or for any occasion. November has become a time to reflect on so many of my memories as it was sixteen years ago that I opened my shop to serve you. I know I can speak for Jeanette and I when I say, it isn’t so much that we are here for you, but YOU have been here for us. Fifteen years ago I couldn’t imagine the friendships that would be created because of you. It was a struggle to get the shop open, and we had a few personal issues along the way, but every time you were a comfort because of the friendship bond we’ve developed. It has been so enjoyable for us to be able to provide you with the wine that plays a part in the special times that you share with family and friends. THANK YOU!!

This will be an exciting month as we celebrate our store anniversary with special tasting events. I’ll also be celebrating tasting at different locations to help kickoff the holiday season in the area. We’ll keep you posted, I will be releasing the Beaujolais Nouveau this month with a special tasting so make sure you order your Beaujolais before it’s gone.

I was so satisfied to offer Vino Amici last month to all my wine enthusiasts! What a great turnout and lovely evening it was to present so many new wines for this event.

Welcome everyone! I’m really excited to share with you about our third annual Fall Vino e Amici event this month. Of all my events this has to be the one my wine enthusiasts are the most excited about. For one evening to taste wines of that quality doesn’t happen that often and I’m glad to bring you this special event here in Norfolk. Tickets will be limited to make this a unique event for you. Mark your calendar the date is October 27th. Stop in or call me for details. Tickets will be offered for purchase until October 24th.

During our September wine tastings, we’ll start exploring some different wines. With the changing of the season, some people like to try a variety of wines before the holiday, so this will be the time to come out and experience these wines for yourself.

 

Not only does September bring us the fall season but also the kick-off to the football season. We have all your refreshment needs for GAME DAY with GREAT prices on Beer, Rum, Scotch, Bourbon and many more of your favorite drinks. Also, if you’re hosting a football party we have the Terrapin Farms Dips and Chips that are a hit at the party and so easy to have on hand. I’ll be glad to work with you on all your party needs.

It will be a special and exciting month of August here at the store. We’ll start the month off right away as we’ll be hosting our last Music in the Park tasting Wednesday Aug. 2nd and following that up on Aug. 3rd with a special Sean Minor tasting with Stuart Barker, national representative for Sean. You don’t want to miss this tasting with their signature series of wines. You’ll be able to ask questions and find out how the season is going this year in the vineyards.

August 13th is international left-handed day. To celebrate this very special occasion we’ll have some fun and celebrate with a tasting Friday Aug. 11th. We’ll be doing a tasting with Mollydooker wines (Mollydooker is slang for left-handed people in Australia). You don’t want to miss this opportunity to taste these outstanding wines. Also, we did get in a little Blue-Eye Boy Shiraz from them. Hurry in while they last.

As you plan for your Labor Day, make sure you stop in for all your refreshment beverages. You will want to try our mini selection of bottles and cans! These are the most approachable and ready-to-travel anywhere drinks! Take them to the Music in the Park events or with you to the cabin! We also have a craft beer selection that keeps growing. Don’t forget to stock up on your favorite cordials, margaritas, vodka and gin to cap off your night.

Summer entertaining is a wonderful time to get together with friends in the backyard and drink some incredible wines either for grilling or just relaxing. So many foods can be prepared on the grill, so stop in and I’ll help you select a wine that will go well with anything from shrimp to steak!

I’m looking at the calendar and it’s hard to believe we’re in May already. April was a fun month with so many activities going on and special tasting. I enjoyed working with everyone. The wine tastings at the store offered many new wines to enhance your wine palate. I was excited with the turn out we had for Vino Amici! Thank you to everyone for a great evening. If you haven’t had the chance to make it to a tasting recently, check our May schedule and maybe this will be the month you can try some of my new wines.

 

It will be an exciting time at the store, with Mother’s Day fast approaching. I know a gift she would really enjoy is a gift of our Wine of the Month Club. We’ll be hosting our Vino Amici this month on the 21st. It is the Greatest Wine Event in Nebraska. Special selected wines, live music, hors d’oeuvres from Black Cow and collectible wine glass. Tickets are available at the store!! Tickets will be limited so hurry in and get your ticket.

I’m taking special orders every week so if there is a favorite wine of yours just let me know and I will get it in for you. Remember, on a case purchase there is a 10% discount off the regular price. That includes mix and match cases as well.

Looking ahead to Mother’s Day in May, it would be a unique gift idea to treat Mom to a “Wine of the Month” gift certificate. Stop in and we can set up a few months at a time or longer!

Oh, what a beautiful time of the year! I can’t wait to have the family home during the holidays. It sure gives life a beautiful meaning. It is so special for me when I can help you in selecting a special gift for a friend or family member.
