Days are starting to shorten up and the evenings have a hint of coolness to them. This just tells me its time to try some new and exciting wines in the evening. We all know that this month we’ll be treated to a new season but think how you’ll be treated this month with new wines, exceptional wine tasting, special events by just being our guest at the store. I’m especially excited to get this month started as Nebraska will be joining the Big Ten and we’ll be celebrating on September 1st with a special kick off to the football season with a Nebraska tasting.

If you had conflicts and haven’t made one of our wine tasting lately you have really missed out on some exceptional wines. Check the calendar below and plan on being here for these tastings.

I want to remind you that we have all your refreshment needs for GAME DAY with special prices on Beer, Rum, Scotch, Bourbon, Tequila, and many more of your favorite drinks. Also, if you’re hosting a football party we have the Robert Rothschild Dips that are just outstanding. I’m sure your guests will miss a play or two just to get more of the dips!

Stephen Vincent wines was conceived in 2001 with the partnership of Stephen Vincent Situm, Robert Goyette, and Hossein Namdar. Collectively, the partners represent over 100 years of experience in vineyard ownership, winemaking and marketing. Winemaking being their passion, each harvest they select fruit from their own Lake County and Sonoma Coast vineyards and seek out superior lots of wines from North Coast and Central Coast appellations that will blend harmoniously to produce wines of exceptional quality at affordable prices. Stephen Vincent wines have consistently garnered high scores throughout the Wine Competition events.

Crimson- their flagship wine as the name takes on the dark red color of the wine. A product of old world winemaking knowledge, the aroma has a spicy warmth that invites your first sip. The wine is made up of a Syrah and Cabernet blend and aged 6 months in French and American Oak. A luscious mouthfeel followed by a clean finish makes this wine a joy to drink and calls you back for more.

Zinfandel - this 100% Zinfandel is a blend of grapes coming from vineyards in two distinct growing regions in California. 80% of the Zinfandel comes from Lodi, and 20% from the North Coast. The fruit forward wine has a berry nose, and nice finish. It’s full bodied, with just a touch of toasty American oak.

Chardonnay - another excellent wine from Stephen Vincent. This Chardonnay is a blend of 50% Monterey County and 50% Clarksburg Chardonnay from the Central Valley. 30% of the wine is barrel fermented in French and American Oak to impart the tannins and to give the wine a buttery flavor. The remaining 70% is stainless steel fermented, which captures the essence of the Chardonnay fruit.

Pinot Noir - this Pinot Noir has a great varietal character - cherry and raspberry notes, soft tannins and a touch of oak and complexity to this satisfying wine.
