Jim's Notes!!
November has become a special month for me. It was three years ago that my dream and desire came about in being able to open a specialty wine shop for you. After the many months before and now the three years since we’ve been open, the desire and the mission still hold true.
Jim’s Fine Wine & More brings people together, because good wine inspires hope, and comforts the soul. It invites us to savor the simple pleasure of living. This remains important to us as we serve each and every one of you.
This will be an exciting month as we celebrate our THIRD anniversary with you. We will also be releasing the Beaujolais Nouveau this month. Watch for a special day-after-Thanksgiving tasting.

Bogle Vineyards- Featured Winery
Picturesque pheasants grace the label in gold-foiled glory. The sixth generation of the Bogle family produces quality wines that continue to be award winning wines. Warren and Chris Bogle planted their first twenty acres of wine grapes in Clarksburg, California in 1968. Today Bogle Vineyards farms over 1,200 acres of wine grapes in the Sacramento River region.
Since 1992, Bogle Winery has participated in the California Appellation Program. In this program winemakers source fruit from some of the best vineyards in the state and blend them with Bogle Estate Vineyards in Clarksburg, thus assuring that the wines benefit from many of the incredible grape growing regions of California. Bogle Phantom - The coveted Phantom, Bogle’s apparition of three unique varietals, combines lush berry and fierce spice into a wine of complex character. From the shadows, toasty cinnamon and nutmeg emerge, subtly embracing the deeply luscious and succulent fruit to create a full-bodied, ruby rich wine. The wine consists of Petite Sirah-Zinfandel-Mourvedre grapes. NOVEMBER SPECIAL $17.99 BOGLE PETITE SIRAH - Thirty-two years after it was first produced by the Bogle family, Petite Sirah is today considered Bogle’s “heritage” varietal. Once again the trademark qualities shine through in a wine that is the perfect integration of fruit and oak. Full-bodied on the entry, aromas of black plum jam and toasty oak set the stage with a precisely balanced mouthfeel. NOVEMBER SPECIAL $10.99 BOGLE CABERNET - This grape takes its own sweet time, slowly lingering to ripen on the vine. The sturdy body of this wine is softened by chalky tannins that allow for a finish rich and round. Aged 14 months in oak. Served best with meat dishes, rich sauces or aged cheeses. NOVEMBER SPECIAL $12.99 BOGLE OLD VINE ZINFANDEL - Head-trained and dry farmed vines continue to be the source for Bogle’s Old Vine Zinfandel. These gnarly old vines produce concentrated fruit of unsurpassed quality and intensity. This full-bodied vintage shows itself with rich black raspberry notes that round out in the mouth, accompanied by the scents of fruit jam bubbling on the stove. Toasty oak and cloves are the perfect finishing touch. Aged 10 months in American oak.
