                                    April Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who supported us in March for our tasting. We held our first Bourbon tasting at the store and it was well received, I'm thinking this could be an annual event. I was amazed, also, at how many corks everyone had when we did our Cork Weekend event.

I'm excited to get April started and we're already a few days into the month. Looking at the April events it will be a fun and exciting month at the store. One sure sign of spring is the Master's Golf Tournament this month and still being a fan of Arnold Palmer I'll be offering his wine at 25% OFF during the tournament. We can't watch him anymore but we can taste his wine and enjoy the tournament. (This will be from the 7th to the 10th).

We'll also be doing a few special tastings this month as I'll be down at Magnolias celebrating Girls Night Out and to toast the end of the TAX season! At the end of the month I'll be doing a Fundraiser for Relay for Life so you'll want to watch for more information to come.

My calendar filled in fast this month for in-home wine tasting. If you want to host a wine tasting event for your business or friends visit with me so we can select a date for the upcoming months. They make an enjoyable evening for you and your guests.

                                    See you soon

                                    _Winery of the Month:
                                    Gott Wines

Everything Joel does is about making the best wines at the best prices. Joel is a fifth generation vintner. In 1996, Joel started Joel Gott Wines after noticing a lack of quality wines in the $15 t0 $20 price range. Joel has maintained a long-standing grower relationships, the fruit they get from Dillian Ranch, Mohr-Fry Ranches, Pelkan and Bacigalupi Vineyards demonstrates the quality when making their wines.

Joel Gott Chardonnay - Joel sources the grapes from the Monterey region of California. The cool, breezy weather of Monterey Bay allows for a longer period of maturation which allows the grapes more time to develop classic varietal characteristics. The climate produces a Chardonnay with aromas of orange blossom, green apple, and citrus and with a bright acid structure. The Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel, keeping the wine clean and crisp.

Joel Gott Cabernet - The '08 Cabernet is ripe with blueberry, cherry and dark cherry. The aroma bursts with violet, vanilla, cedar, chocolate and spice. Soft ripe tannins result in a balanced and long velvety finish. The fruit was sourced from many of the best wine growing regions in California. The 2008 vintage had a long, cool growing season and the fruit saw a long hangtime, producing superb flavor development. This wine is 100% Cabernet and it was aged in oak.

Joel Gott Zinfandel - The '08 Zinfandel boasts aromas of cocoa, dark raspberries and strawberries. On the palate the wine is round and juicy with flavors of pepper, dark cherry and spice, ending with a lingering finish. Dry-farmed, the vines in Lodi and Amador produce intense, structured fruit while the Napa Valley harvest adds power, depth and complexity. Together, these diverse regions produced a balanced California Zinfandel. Aged in oak.

                                    HAPPY EASTER,
                                    JIM
